Literature Text

In the night
I have found you
hovering above me
as you once did;
like a satellite
pulling at my water--
delighting my depths
with your weight.
It has roused the span
where I carved you
from my heart--
marked with those moments
spinning far
and farther in our tracks;
and appear now
little more than a dream
of years divided from the hoop--
a lost season
when our two loves made a whole
and parted as beings forever altered.
It may have been that my swelling tides
have dried up;
or perhaps
I have just been released
from gravity.

I love how you just barely allude to so many different things, yet still keep a cohesive narrative.
And I agree with Toady-Kins, the last three lines are the light after the dark.
